Musicians screw up on Twitter…all the time. But who really cares right? We just want to make music and not sit in front of the computer tweeting to random people that we may never meet.

I understand how you feel. I’d rather not deal with Twitter, at least that’s how I felt until Twitter started working for me. Eventually I was able to build up a modest following of people who are actually interested in what I have to say. Call it my fan base.

How did it work for me?

Well it’s really simple, and it’s not about learning what to do. It was actually about learning what not to do.

That’s what I’m going to share in this mini-lesson (no interview guys). It was the things that I didn’t do that helped me build a real fanbase on Twitter. I mean real as in they comment, favorite, RT, and most important of all, sign up to my email list.
